Worshipped on the ninth & final day of Navratri, Goddess Siddhidatri is the incarnation of Shakti who is the divine blesser. Siddhi means supernatural, while Datri means giver. Draped in red, her divine form is seated on a blooming lotus, she has four arms that hold a lotus, Gada (mace), Chakra & Shankha.
After Goddess Kushmanda created the Trimurti (Lord Brahma, Lord Vishu & Lord Shiva), it is believed that she guided them towards enlightenment, and the Trimurti penanced for many years. Gratified with their penance, Adi Shakti (Supreme Divine Feminine) appeared before them in the incarnation of Goddess Siddhidatri. She bestowed them with eight supernatural Siddhis, which were Anima, Garima, Mahima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakambya, Ishitava, and Vashitva. She entrusted them with their respective roles, which were to create, preserve, and destroy the world.
Goddess Siddhidatri is the creator of every single being that exists, she created the galaxies, the Asuras (demons), Yakshas(nature-spirits), Gandharvas (celestial beings), Devas (Gods), the flora & fauna, as well as the demigods. She is worshipped by all. When Lord Brahma asked for her help to create the world, she manifested her energy in half of the body of Lord Shiva, also known as Ardhnarishwar. This form of Adi Shakti exemplifies the amalgamation of creation & balance. Ardhnarishwar represents the divine balance of feminine and masculine energies, created by Goddess Siddhidatri. She is the supreme giver, she bestows wisdom, strength, and prosperity to the world.
